Casual Winter Day

This is my idea of the perfect casual winter day. Until I graduate in May most of my days will be about running to class or reading, not the ideal situation for my most stylish outfits. Although I believe we should all dress our best, it's just not as practical for a day of learning. But don't count out style just yet! You can still look chic while grabbing coffee at the library. A white oversized sweater is a very model off duty look which we all strive for. Tall black boots are polished and classic which is my go-to style. Adding a fun leopard print scarf gives your look personality while still being functional. Last but not least, one of the most important items in the winter is a great coat, since that is what most people will be seeing. If you're one for bold fashions try a geometric print coat or any pattern. For a more classic look, bright colors add a punch but don't draw as much attention as a print might. End your look with your favorite lipstick and you're ready to brave the cold weather.

Monday Inspiration

I was watching E! this morning, and Kelly Osbourne and George Kotsiopoulos were competing over their top trends for 2013. Their number one trend was black/white which was very exciting at first, as I am a lifelong devotee to black/white. Then I became a little concerned that the combination of black and white is somehow now a "trend" that is going to become popular this year. As far as I know, black and white has always been a classic staple that never comes in or out of style. Well, that's fashion for you. All it takes is a few more people to wear black and white and it becomes something "new." I do love this resurgence of black and white because it means fabulous patterns and pieces dedicated to this perfect pair. Anyway, my Monday inspiration is...black and white! Specifically, black/white workwear. My sister is getting married in June and of course, it being during Summer, I'm striving for the perfect beach-body. Well my New Year's resolution is to finally complete my goal which is very close, dangling right in front of me. I just discovered the youtube pilates account blogilates and it is amazing! She posts tons of pilates videos that will kill you, but it feels amazing when you complete a video(most are pretty short around 13 minutes). I'm probably not the first person to dream of athletic clothes from Lululemon (with a much small budget), but if you're not afraid of a little eye candy, here are the perfect and not boring black/white lululemon athletic gear.

Spring Dreaming

It's not even close to Spring but I don't care, I'm already dreaming of bold colors and fun dresses, and no jackets. Although, I did get a gorgeous new winter jacket which luckily is way more practical at the moment than spring clothes. For those of you who dream a little too much about the future, I put together two outfits for 1 dress(dress up and down) for those sunny days when it's nice and warm. The dress is Marni, and is gorgeous with it's silky print and colors.
